VISION AND MISSION

The vision of Grateful Hearts is for the lives of women to be transformed from the cycle of addiction, homelessness, and incarceration to lives of purpose and spiritual wholeness.

OUR STORY

Beginning in the fall of 2008, I began working as a volunteer with the chaplain at the Atlanta City Detention Center. My first day of teaching bible study at the jail changed my life forever.

"For 16 years I lived in a nightmare called drug addiction. I lost my family, my job, my home… and most of all, my dignity. Grateful Hearts gave me hope again and inspired me..."

THE ISSUES

Nearly 99% of the women served are survivors of childhood sexual, physical or emotional trauma.

THE PROCESS

One-On-One Christian Mentorship is the key to providing success towards a brand new life.
