Sharing God’s love and faithfulness with women in their transition through the court system to recovery, restoration of families and productive living in the community.
“He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and freedom to prisoners...to comfort all who mourn, to give them beauty from ashes.” - Isaiah 61:1, 3
ABOUT US
VISION AND MISSION
The vision of Grateful Hearts is for the lives of women to be transformed from the cycle of addiction, homelessness, and incarceration to lives of purpose and spiritual wholeness.
OUR STORY
Beginning in the fall of 2008, I began working as a volunteer with the chaplain at the Atlanta City Detention Center. My first day of teaching bible study at the jail changed my life forever.
FROM THE HEART
"For 16 years I lived in a nightmare called drug addiction. I lost my family, my job, my home… and most of all, my dignity. Grateful Hearts gave me hope again and inspired me..."
